The Happiest Moment...

Eleven years ago today, I experienced the happiest moment of my life. At 8:09 pm I became a momma, for the first time. My life was forever changed for the better. When I held A. in my arms, I was overcome with joy. I looked into her face and was absolutely certain that I was being rewarded with life's most precious gift. To this day, I do not pretend to know what I may have done to deserve her. She is the epitome of goodness and love. Happy birthday A.!

I am on page 235. Barely into the book, and it is definitely an exciting, wonderful adventure. I am savoring every page like a fine bottle of red. Stucco is a good sport to put up with all the hype, and me barely acknowledging his presence while I read. More updates as I finish.

8 Weird Things About Me...

1. I can't stand being in total silence because I have such horrible ringing in my ears. I have to have white noise in the backround.

2. When I Stucco is out of town, I keep one of his shirts with me in bed so I can "smell him" when he's gone. (Two days after my Mom died, I sat in her closet with her clothes for hours so I could "smell her.")

3. I absolutely cannot function without enormous amounts of coffee every day.

4. I have never abused any type of drug or smoked cigarettes but I am okay with everyone else doing it, if they choose to wander that path.

5. I used to avoid being in any water with a depth over my head. Since I have been on an anti-anxiety drug, I can swim in deep water with no fear whatsoever.

6. I have piercings located in an area that would surprise a lot of people who know me.

7. I can spend hours reading about weather on weather.com. I am fascinated by it.

8. I've always wanted to be an airline pilot.
